I have fallen seriously behind on this music meme. I've got most of the days picked but I've neglected to post them. Instead of posting one a day as you're supposed to, I'm going to post a playlist with most of the songs.

Day 04- A song that makes you laugh: "Global Warming" by Vermillion Lies
Day 05- A song that has a new meaning to you every time you hear it: "When I Fall" by Barenaked Ladies
The meaning of this song has several different levels. I think about a different meaning each time I hear it.
Day 06- A song you can always relate to: "Anthony" by Nickel Creek
Day 07- A song that is your guilty pleasure: "Ms. Jackson" by Outkast
Day 08- A song you liked when you were younger: "Parachutes (Funeral Song)" by Mates of State
Some kids were mall goths. Some kids plastered their walls with images of idol singers. I was obsessed with this song and with Mates of State's Team Boo when I was 13. I haven't listened to the record in years, and I've probably heard it enough for several lifetimes.
Day 09- A song that makes you want to dance: "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga
It makes me want to zumba, the only kind of dance I do willingly.
Day 10- A song that makes you cry: "Roads to Moscow" by Al Stewart
Listen to it here as it was apparently too eclectic of a request for Playlist.com. I really like Al Stewart's songs for their narrative quality, smooth vocals, and sweeping orchestration. Some people like "Year of the Cat" better, but "Roads to Moscow" is clearly superior--just listen to that intro.
Day 11- A song that reminds you of summer: "Under the Gun" by The Killers
I don't think that the Killers ever released this song as more than a b-side. If I had been consulted, this would have been a single on Hot Fuss instead of "Somebody Told Me". Don't get me wrong, I love "Somebody Told Me" more than most of the American public, but "Under the Gun" had potential.
Day 12- A song that reminds you of your best friend: "Lilly" by Pink Martini
She isn't a dog, but sometimes she acts like a Labrador with attention span issues.
Day 13- A song you sing to in the shower: "Summertime" from Porgy and Bess
